| Q. Why do you use Kommerling profile
- it's German isn't it? |
A. Yes, it is German and it is interesting
to note that some of the first PVC windows introduced into
this country in the 1960's came from Germany. Their experience
and engineering quality is legendary.
It is because of this experience that Allstyle uses Kommerling.
We believe experience breeds excellence. |
| |
| Q. What colours does Allstyle
offer? |
A. White, mahogany woodgrain, mahogany
outside and white inside.
Also we have been monitoring another Kommerling system over
the past year and can now offer this amazing choice of finishes: |
| Woodgrains: |
| White Wood; Natural Oak; Pine; Golden
Oak; Rosewood; Mahogany (popular) |
| Colours: |
| Apple green; Moss green; Black brown;
Steel blue; Dark blue; Brilliant blue; Dark red; Light red;
Cream white; Pearl grey; Light grey; White |
| Country cottages here we come. Some of
these colours are for architectural use but black on a country
cottage is sometimes ideal. Red in a children's play area
is exciting and green blends in with the trees. |
| |
| Q. Do you use your own installers? |
| We certainly do and it has been one of
the main factors in Allstyle's envious reputation for quality. |
| |
| Q. Do you have an after sales
service? |
We have a full-time engineer who has not
only fitted windows and doors, he used to make them.
We only have one service engineer, Geoff Broom, and we are
pleased to announce that we don't keep him fully occupied
so he also installs at times, ensuring that he is up-to-date
with our technology.
All things considered, you can see why he is an expert service
engineer. |
| |
| Q. How long does it take to have
the windows and doors installed from date of order? |
| Allstyle is really always booked at least
6 weeks in advance and longer in busy times. |
| |
| Q. Do your fitters clean the windows
afterwards? |
They certainly do. Maybe not quite as
well as an expert housewife or husband. They also sweep up
and vacuum to leave your home tidy.
All debris is removed from the site and loaded into special
containers at our depot. |
| |
| Q. How can we be sure you are
good installers? |
| A. Good question. We would say
we are good, wouldn't we?. Ask to see our hundreds of returned
questionnaires and letters. When you read them you'll know
we are telling the truth. |
| |
| Q. Do you have special offers? |
A. Sometimes! But remember that AllStyle
does not increase the prices artificially and then give you
an artificial discount. We think customers regard this as
an insult to their intelligence.
At certain times of the year we generate special offers, sometimes
afforded by our main suppliers and sometimes to promote certain
products.
Give us a call, you never know.. |
| |
| Q. What thickness are your double-glazed
sealed units? |
A. 28mm with a 20mm air gap.
This is because 20mm is about the optimum for thermal efficiency.
Larger than this and the air starts convecting and the unit
is less efficient. |
| |
| Q. Do you use Pilkington 'K' (low
E) glass? |
A. Yes, Allstyle is FENSA registered which
binds us to complying with Document L of the Building Regulations.
A part of these regulations, for thermal efficiency, is that
Low Emmenesivity glass is used.
Pilkington 'K' is a low E glass. |
| |
| Q. What is FENSA? |
A. It is an abbreviation of Fenestration
Association and was formed to monitor member companies to
ensure they comply with the new insulation regulations. It
also covers ventilation and fire safety, especially in relation
to fire exits.
Installers who are not members have to call out the local
building inspector. |
